I met Lauren and Jim through Lauren’s sisters, Alison and Melissa. I was super lucky to be able to photograph Melissa’s awesome wedding and have photographed Alison’s beautiful family a number of times, so when Lauren reached out and asked if I was interested in documenting her wedding, I jumped on the opportunity!
From our initial phone conversation, I could tell that Lauren and Jim were going to be so much fun to work with. There were lots of laughs and stories and as we began planning for their shoot, I already had some ideas about where I thought we could create photos that would best represent them.We decided on Long Beach, Long Island for our engagement shoot, which is such a great spot to create photos. Being from Long Island, I love when I get to be in place that I am so familiar and comfortable with, and over the past few years, I have been shooting more in this area.
I genuinely love engagement shoots. It makes your wedding day a lot easier for you when we have time to practice being in front of the camera as well as having some photos to display during your wedding day. A big thank you to my assistant, Daniel Dipasquale for his help with this!
