I met Cara & Patrick when my good friend and collaborator Jack Lambros brought me along to create images for this wedding. We were also super lucky to have Kali Ventresca photographing this wedding with us, so I knew that we were going to have a ton of fun while also making great photos. As soon as I met Cara and her family, I felt right at home. Everybody was so welcoming and the day was so perfect. Everything took place at the Crows Nest, so we did not have to travel far between where she was getting ready, the ceremony site and where the party was taking place and there was also no shortage of spots to take pictures of Cara and Patrick. Cara’s mother, Bruna, served as the officiant and delivered a gorgeous and emotional service. All of us agreed that this might have been the most powerful ceremony we have ever seen. One of my favorite parts about photographing weddings is the family aspect. Many times, a wedding is one of the few times an entire family gets together during the year. Listening to both of their families talk about each of them individually as well as their relationship was truly special. Looking back at these photos, I still feel all the love from that day and I am reminded how incredible it is that I get to be a part of these events while being able to capture a moment in time that they can hold to forever.
