ABOUT ME
I have always been a storyteller, with a vivid and colorful imagination. My camera gives me the ability to document the world as I see it and to bring these stories to life through images. Whether it’s a wedding, a family portrait, or an engagement shoot, I get to tell that part of your story — and I think that’s really awesome!
I started off my photography journey when I received my first 35mm film camera at age 13. It wasn’t until I started capturing images of inner-city neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Manhattan, where I worked as a Special Education teacher and coordinator for over a decade, that I realized that being behind a camera was where I belonged. I became obsessed with documenting the changes in the landscape and the people that brought the streets to life. Today, I continue to draw inspiration and new energy from my surroundings in New York City, my travels, and some of the best photographers in the industry who I get to call mentors and colleagues.
When I was younger, my father would often say “your work is your signature”. I have built my own unique style as a photographer with these words in mind. My goal is to create images that I am proud to call my own and, most importantly, that you will be able to keep as treasured memories of the most important moments in your life.
On top of having the honor of photographing amazing families and individuals, I am often called upon to create images for some of the biggest events happening in the New York City area. My work has been featured in Bloomberg, Wired, Politico, Hamptons Weddings and Events, The New York Post and many other publications.
