ABOUT ME
I have always been a storyteller, with a vivid and colorful imagination. My camera gives me the ability to document the world as I see it and to bring these stories to life through images. Whether it’s a wedding, a family portrait, or an engagement shoot, I get to tell that part of your story — and I think that’s really awesome!
My passion for photography began at the age of 13 when I received my first 35mm film camera. It wasn’t until years later, while working as a Special Education teacher and Assistant Principal in Brooklyn and Manhattan for more than 18 years, that I discovered that I belonged behind the lens.
Before photography became my creative focus, I spent years as a guitarist in a band. When that chapter came to an end, I found myself searching for another creative outlet outside of my work in education. As I began photographing New York City’s neighborhoods, I became captivated by documenting the city’s changing landscape and the people who bring its streets to life, which led me into portrait and event photography.
Growing up, my father often told me, “Your work is your signature.” Those words continue to guide my photography. I strive to create images that reflect my unique style—photographs I’m proud to call my own and that my clients will treasure for years to come.
Today, I continue to find inspiration in New York City, my travels, and the talented photographers I’m fortunate to call mentors and colleagues. And although I love living in New York City, I’ll always be a Long Islander at heart!
